With a remarkable 8 star energy rating across all 91 apartments, future proofing was an important objective for 10 Lilydale Grove, Hawthorn.
Automatic Heating’s contribution was to provide a cutting edge heating system using Revere CO2 heat pumps and Thermex thermal storage tanks to efficiently service the DHW heating needs for the entire development.

The Original design was based on instantaneous direct electric 3 phase DHW units with one unit servicing each apartment. At 20 amps each, these units would require 1820 amps of power (yes, 1820 amps!). The final power requirement to the Revere CO2 Heat Pump system is 30 amps. That’s 30 amps to produce 70°C hot water to service 91 apartments! With prefabrication and testing in our factory, we were also able to facilitate fast and efficient installation.
