Duraflex Smart Refill Unit
Duraflex Smart Refill Units not only combine Backflow Prevention with automatic refilling of systems as required by AS3500 National Plumbing and Drainage Code, they also monitor water usage and provide critical information to building management.
By continually monitoring system pressure and water flow from the unit, the water usage rate is calculated and is displayed on the electronic controller screen as number of litres added per day. The Smart Refill can be connected to a High Level Interface (HLI) system to provide remote monitoring of critical system performance data.

System leakage detection
- Continually monitors the system water usage.
- Displays the average amount of water added per day on the LCD panel. Monitoring is compatible with BMS systems via Modbus.
- Triggers warning alarm for excessive water leakage.
- Triggers flood alarm for extensive loss, and the Refill is shut down.
System leakage is the silent destroyer and early detection of system water loss is vital to the prevention of damage.
Continually adding fresh water to a circulating system causes dilution of corrosion inhibiting chemicals which are critical for system protection. Insufficient corrosion protection invariably shortens the working life of boilers, heat exchangers, valves, and pipework.
New Installation Set Up Wizard
- The new Duraflex Refill Set Up Wizard guides the installer through simple steps to enter basic operational information.
- The Set Up Wizard automatically calculates and sets pump control points and safety limits.
MODBUS BMS Remote monitoring:
The optional MODBUS High Level Interface allows connection to a remote Building Management System (BMS). Operators can view all system operating parameters remotely, including operating pressure, average daily water loss, total volume used, pump run hours and all system alarms.
Monitoring system can be tailored to suit client requirements.
