Grenda Aquatic Centre
Project Overview
Officially opened at Haileybury College Keysborough in 1995, Grenda Aquatic Centre features a 50-metre indoor swimming and diving pool. With well over a century of history, Haileybury College is one of the premier private schools in Melbourne. It has multiple sites over the area as well as a campus in China.
The Keysborough Campus caters for children of all school ages and its extensive sports facilities include the Grenda Aquatic Centre which caters for the students and the larger population of the Keysborough area.
The water heating system was recently upgraded and is now powered by 3 x 150kW Meridian Condensing Water Heaters with a cascade controller which provides sequence control and maximises efficiency. The cascade formation negates the need to shut the pool down during routine or unplanned maintenance.
Ex-stock availability of the Meridian Condensing Hot Water Heaters facilitated the quick changeover during the Christmas shutdown period eliminating the need for any extra loss of facilities during peak usage times.
Featuring stainless steel flues, an expansion tank and plate heat exchanger, this tidy installation is a credit to the installer Sinan Mustafa of UPR Plumbing Services Pty Ltd.
