Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre

Project Overview

Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre is a dedicated healthcare precinct providing a range of specialist cancer services, including cancer treatment, clinical trials, education, training and research.

Amongst the most globally recognisable examples of homegrown talent, Olivia Newton-John was born in England but moved over here when she was six.

She was a cancer patient herself in the early Nineties as well as seeing the disease affect people close to her. No doubt these encounters with cancer contributed to spurring her on to raise money to help build this impressive facility.

She trekked the length of the Great Wall of China along with other celebrities and survivors along with recording and releasing a CD of duets of her and other famous singers to fund the project.

Serving Melbourne

The Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre center is part of Austin Health which is the name of the hospital in north-east Melbourne.

The ONJ brings together the current cancer services dispersed through the Austin Hospital as well as a range of new services including inpatient accommodation, a radiotherapy facility, ambulatory care services, clinical trials and a clinical research centre.

Amongst the equipment that was supplied by Automatic Heating Pty Ltd were Arizona Hot Water Heaters which are pressurised conventional steel boilers and designed to work perfectly in combination with forced draft air burners like the Enterprise Natural Gas Burners that we also provided.

Support and fail-safe equipment that were installed in the system include Duraflex Forte Expansion Tanks, Grundfos Long Coupled Pumps and Thermex Plate Heat Exchangers.
