Each Thermex plate heat exchanger is selected using state-of-the-art software to match the specific performance requirements of individual applications. This sophisticated selection and sizing process, using programs that represent experience accumulated since 1940, and guarantees low cost and efficient thermal performance.

Thermex plate heat exchangers incorporate an expandable design. Thermal performance can be adjusted by simply adding or removing or rearranging heat transfer plates. The Thermex construction typically allows for the addition of 30% more heat transfer surface area without any changes to the unit foot-print.
A Thermex plate heat exchanger consists of a number of corrugated plates with gaskets placed in grooves along the edge. The adjacent plates come into contact with each other where the ridges meet. During assembly the channel plates are pressed together in a frame to form a tight and efficient heat exchanger.
The heat transfer performance is naturally dependant on the size of the plate. The corrugated plate surface is shaped into a herringbone pattern with the angles of the chevrons determining the shape of the channels. By combining different plate patterns in the same plate pack the optimum solution for any heat transfer application can be found.
